Baxter Reecer

Baxter Reecer, AIA Project Architect

Baxter originally joined Fennell Purifoy for the summer of 2011 while he was working towards his Master of Architecture degree at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. After graduating in May of 2013, he returned to Little Rock and joined the Fennell Purifoy team full time. During his time at Drury, Baxter backpacked through Europe, studying in Greece and visiting nine different countries. After returning to the US, he became involved in affordable housing organizations and cycled 4,000 miles from New Hampshire to Vancouver to raise money and awareness for the cause, as well as spending over 200 hours on construction sites and in fabrication shops.

Baxter grew up in Alaska and Arkansas, giving him a deep appreciation for the mountains and the environment. A lover of machines and literature, Baxter believes that the best architecture comes from the intersection of utility and poetic expression. You can usually find him climbing the steep sandstone rock faces of the Ozarks.
