Enable Office Building

Location: North Little Rock, Arkansas

Enable (formerly Centerpoint Energy) is one of the South’s largest natural gas providers.  This building will give Enable a presence in the community and will serve as an example of the company’s dedication to responsible, energy efficient design.  The challenge was to design a functional, attractive, energy efficient office building and warehouse that provides a comfortable work environment for 20 employees of a large energy company.   The building orientation on site provides natural daylight to offices along the north and south.  Glass to the west and the east have been minimized to reduce solar gain and thus reducing energy cost.  Clerestory windows along the corridors flood the interior with natural light.  Natural stone and other low maintenance materials were used to reduce life cycle cost of the building.
