Challenge: Design a visually appealing and cost-effective office and warehouse building for one of the top online bicycle retailers in the nation.

Performance: Custom solar shading devices, open floor plan and day-lighting for natural illumination throughout, open, double-height spaces to allow air to stratify, and high insulation values all contribute to lower energy consumption and a better work environment.

Description: Competitive Cyclist, one of the top high-end bike retailers in the nation, tasked Fennell Purifoy to design a building that provides an appropriate backdrop to the elegant bicycles they sell and an appropriate environment for the passionate people they employ. The Competitive Cyclist building houses their offices, website production, retail areas, service areas, demo bike shipping, sales shipping and warehouse.
