Sunset Terrace Community Plan

Location: Little Rock, Arkansas

Commissioned by the Metropolitan Housing Alliance, the Sunset Neighborhood Master Plan is an effort to discover the “best outcome” for the redevelopment of the Sunset Terrace Public Housing site. Involving the residents, the city, UAMS, UALR, the county, and many other partners, the planning effort creates a vision of healthy urban living for the future where fitness, access to healthy affordable foods and childhood development are top priorities. The success of the plan has led to increased community involvement and the recent major federal grant award to continue the master planning process over a much larger area involving HUD, the US Department of Education, the US Department of Transportation and EPA.
