Petit Jean State Park Visitor Center

Location: Petit Jean Mountain, Arkansas

Petit Jean is a flagship destination for Arkansas State Parks because of its proximity to the Little Rock metropolitan area. The goal of the new visitor’s center is to be a regional attraction that functions as an orientation center for the park. The facility includes exhibits, rental meeting facilities, administrative offices and assorted amenities for visitors. The design is a new take on the traditional rustic architecture of the Civilian Conservation Corps style of Mather Lodge and the original cabins. The new building will feature native stone and timber framing in a more contemporary way with large expanses of glass and open framing.
